Mode A Term You Need to Know

The mode is a measure of central tendency in statistics that refers to the value(s) that occur most frequently in a data set. A data set can have one mode (unimodal), two modes (bimodal), three modes (trimodal), or no mode (unimodal) at all. The mode is a useful summary statistic for describing the central location of a data set when the data is categorical or when there are multiple values with the same frequency. In contrast to the mean and median, the mode is not affected by the scale of the data, and can be used to describe the most common value(s) in the data set.
